The TCISD Foundation For The Future helps make up for the loss of local tax revenues due to Chapter 41 legislation. The Foundation makes a difference in the Texas City community. We believe there is a strong correlation between the quality of life in our community and the quality of its educational system. Public schools have helped to create our community, and will continue to be the backbone of the future work force as long as we ensure that they remain among the best in the nation. Come see what can happen when a community and school district work together.
About the Foundation
The Foundation for the Future is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit tax-exempt independently registered community based organization. The Board of Directors consists of community and business leaders focused on raising all TCISD students to the next level of excellence in education. The directors share a vision of enhancing education in TCISD as well as work to increase private support for educational activities.
The Texas City Independent School District (TCISD) Foundation for the Future, in collaboration with the community and the school district, supports a quality education for the District’s students by generating and distributing resources to enrich, maintain, and expand programs to meet the District’s stated mission of excellence in education.
The Foundation for the Future will raise revenues from businesses, individuals and civic organizations interested in funding innovative educational programs. Contributions received by the Foundation will be used to provide grants for innovative projects that support student achievement and to implement an effective Endowment Program. The teaching grants will be managed as part of the Foundation’s “Projects In Education” Grants Program.
Helping Hands Program
In recognition of the Foundation’s 20th Year Anniversary, please join us in supporting one of the first designated programs developed and managed by the TCISD Foundation for the Future. The Helping Hands program was designed to assist with short-term special needs and longer term basic social needs. At the beginning of each school year, nurses receive an approved amount of funding from the Foundation to purchase items enhancing the personal hygiene of students within our district. The items range from toothbrushes to clothes or other items considered necessary for the students’ social well-being. Read more about the Helping Hands program.
Many other programs are hosted and managed by the Foundation due to the generosity of local donors. Click here for more information about all Foundation programs. Individual donors, businesses, corporations, alumni, and community service organizations provide funding for these programs.
All donations are tax deductible. If you would like to make a donation, please print the Sponsor Form and send to the address noted on the card. Thank you for your support!
