CONDOLENCES FOR COACH BROUSSARD

Lady Cougar's head basketball coach, Andrew Broussard passed away on Thursday, July 30, 2020 after a long battle with cancer.  Coach Broussard had been the Lady Cougar's head basketball coach for the past three seasons.  He was 49 years old.  The Lady Coogs finished with a 9-19 record last season, made the playoffs and defeated Houston Washington in the Bi-District round of the playoffs.  It was the first playoff victory for the Lady Coogs since the 2010 season.  The Lady Coogs lost to state-ranked Hardin-Jefferson in the area round of the UIL playoffs.  LMHS Campus Athletic Coordinator, Shone Evans said of Broussard:  "Today the Cougar family lost one of the most inspirational men to walk the halls of LMHS.  Words cannot express the appreciation we have for the lives he touched both in the classroom and on the court.  He will be missed dearly by all, and we send our condolences to his family, friends and countless men and women he mentored."  Coach Broussard leaves behind his three children.   TCISD and the athletic department sends their condolences and memories to his family.
