School Libraries
TCISD school libraries are the hub of learning, creating, and imagining.
Texas City ISD school libraries are an essential part of every campus. The mission of the library program is to ensure that students and staff are effective users of ideas and information. This mission will be accomplished by providing intellectual and physical access to a plethora of materials and resources in various formats. The library will also provide instruction and help foster competence, stimulate interest in reading, and encourage higher-order thinking skills through the use of information and ideas. In addition, by working with other educators and professionals, we will design learning strategies to meet the needs of everyone as necessary.

Library Parent Partnership
Libraries in Texas City ISD play a vital role in every community. TCISD empowers families to make choices aligned with their values.
In compliance with Texas Senate Bill 13, the district is commited to transparency regarding library materials and to strengthening the partnership between parents and schools. As the primary educators of their children, parents will be able to review library materials, serve on advisory committees, and provide input on book selections.
Together, we will create a safe, inclusive, and academically aligned library experience for all students.
