TCISD Registration

Parents whose children are enrolled at the end of the year and are returning will verify and update address and contact information if needed. Changes will be processed as they are received, and parents will receive an email confirmation when the first step, submitting all online forms, is complete. 

A current proof of residency is required each year and can be uploaded during the online registration process.  

Acceptable proofs are: 

• homeownership or current signed lease listing child's name 

• a gas, electric, cable, or water bill from the last 30 days.  

Once your proof of residency is verified by district staff, you will receive a follow-up email stating that your child's registration is finalized. 

Current students who will be entering 7th grade are required to have the Meningitis and the Tdap vaccination and also must have proof of these immunizations prior to the start of the 2026-2027 school year. 

You will need your usename and password. If you do not have them, visit your child's school to receive them. You will need to present an ID.

If You Can't Upload Your Proof of Residency: 

Bring a paper copy of the document to your child’s school . Make sure your child's name is written on the document. 

If you need to upload a proof of residency after you have completed the online portion of registration, you can upload it online.

Families who do not have a proof of residency dated within 30 days in the name of the parent/guardian will need to meet Special Residency requirements.

Calvin Vincent Early Childhood enrolls new students and registers returning students online through Skyward in the same way the current and new K-12 students are enrolled and registered. 

All required documents to verify Pre-K or Head Start eligibility will be uploaded through the system.

Please note: Our Head Start program is not open enrollment and is limited to Texas City and La Marque residents only, per our grant requirements. 

However, we are accepting Open Enrollment for our 4-year-old Pre-K program. 

Students living within Texas City ISD attendance zone who are 4 on or before Sept. 1, 2026, could be eligible for our Pre-K program. Those students must meet at least one of the following eligibility criteria:

• be unable to speak and comprehend the English language per results of a language assessment test given prior to acceptance into the program;
• be educationally disadvantaged, which means a student is eligible to participate in the national free or reduced-price lunch program;
• be homeless, as defined by 42 United States Code (U.S.C.) Section 1143a, regardless of the residence of the child, residence of the child's parents or guardian or other person having lawful control of the child as verified by the TCISD social worker;
• be the child of an active duty member of the armed forces of the United States, including the state military forces or a reserve component of the armed forces, who is ordered to active duty by proper authority;
• be the child of a  member of the armed forces of the United States, including the state military forces or a reserve component of the armed forces, who was injured or killed while serving on active duty;
• be in, or have been in, the conservatorship of the Department of Family and Protective Services (DFPS) following an adversary hearing held as provided by Section 262.201, Family Code;
• be the child of a person eligible for the Star of Texas Award as a peace officer (3106.002), firefighter (3106.003) or emergency medical first responder (3106.004)

Pre-K Family Gross Income Guidelines

For each additional member, add $10,508.

Students who are 3 or 4 on Sept. 1, 2026 could be eligible for our Head Start program. The Head Start grant requires all 3-year-olds must also reside in the attendance zones of Texas City ISD. They must also meet at least one of the following criteria:

• living below federal poverty guidelines including the income of all parents living in the home (child support, student loans, social security income, disability income); 
• be homeless, as defined by 42 United States Code (U.S.C.) Section 1143a, regardless of the residence of the child, residence of the child's parents or guardian or other person having lawful control of the child as verified by the TCISD social worker;
• be a foster child and have a letter stating such;
• receiving SSI (Supplemental Security Income - not social security;
• receives TANF (Temporary Assistance for Needy Families)

The 3-year-old class is only available through the Head Start grant and the grant is specific that students who are enrolled in Head Start can only be zoned to the current TCISD attendance zones in Texas City and La Marque.

Head Start Family Gross Income Guidelines

For families/households with more than 8 persons, add $5,680 for each additional person.

If possible, please bring clear copies of your original documents:

1. Child's birth certificate, immunization record, Social Security card and health insurance card
2. Family income verification (2 recent check stubs for each household member employed)
3. Proof of residence in TCISD boundaries current within 30 days
   • Acceptable proofs of residency are:
     • homeownership or current signed lease listing student’s name
     • a gas, electric, cable, or water bill from the last 30 days. 
     • If living in someone else's home, the homeowner must provide 2 proofs of residency from the list above, and the appropriate notarized TCISD registration form (Special Residency).
4. If living in someone else's home, the homeowner must provide 2 proofs of residency from the list above, and the appropriate notarized TCISD registration form.
5. Parent or legal guardian's driver's license or government issued picture ID.
6. If student lives with someone other than parents, please provide notarized or court documentation showing legal guardianship of child

No problem. Your children may not be linked under the same family account yet. Contact your child’s campus, and they will connect your students so you can view them together.

When creating your enrollment account, be sure to check the box that says “I do not have an email.”

This allows you to create a new login and continue the enrollment process.

You can register anywhere you have access to the internet using a computer, laptop, or tablet. Many families complete registration from:

• Home

• Work

• The library

• A relative or family member’s home

Unless your form is marked “RQ,” you must submit a valid, current proof of residence for the address listed on the approved Special Residency form, along with the approved pink Special Residency form.
