I am so excited for this year’s Art Classes. In class students will learn many different aspects of Art such as painting, shading, learning Value, Texture, Form, Space, and many more. The students will also learn the difference between and create both realistic and abstract art. Through many hands-on projects, they develop their creative side using radial symmetry, creating pointillism, and perspective drawings. Students are also introduced to famous artists such as Van Gogh, Monet, O’Keeffe, Ringgold, Cassatt, and Picasso. They are also shown art from different cultures. Students are encouraged to participate in opportunities outside of the classroom by entering Art Competitions in our area. This year we have Rodeo Art, Christmas Cards, Art Festival, and many more. I hope to have a great year with the students.
