Enrollment & Registration

Brand new students or students who previously withdrew and are planning to return to Texas City ISD can also begin new student online enrollment.

Parents must upload:

• birth certificate;
• a copy of the student’s social security card (if applicable)
• immunization records,
• a copy of the last report card from the student’s prior school (if applicable)
• two proofs of residency.

Acceptable proofs of residency are:

• homeownership or current signed lease listing student’s name
• a gas, electric, cable, or water bill from the last 30 days. 

Once your proofs of residency and additional required documentation are verified by district staff, you will receive a follow up email stating that your student’s registration is complete.

Families who do not have two proofs of residency dated within 30 days in the name of the parent/guardian will need to meet Special Residency requirements.  During the online registration process you will be prompted to answer questions about residency.  You will be contacted if further answers or documentation is required.

This form is only used when the enrollment/registration process has been completed and additional documentation is needed by the campus. Please do not send student records via email.

Registration Documentation Upload

The pre-enrollment application  process will begin on June 1 and will close on June 30. After this date the pre-enrollment process will be open but space will not be guaranteed.

Students who are 3 on September 1, 2021 could be eligible for our Head Start program. Those students must come from a family who meets income eligibility (living in poverty), receives TANF, receives SSI, is homeless, or the child must be a legal foster child. All 3 year olds must also reside in the attendance zones for Guajardo, Heights, Kohfeldt, or Roosevelt Elementary only.

Students who are 4 on September 1, 2021 could be eligible for our Pre-K or Head Start programs. Those students must come from a family who:

• meets income eligibility (eligible for free or reduced lunch),
• receives TANF,
• receives SNAP,
• is homeless,
• is a military family,
• or the child must be a legal foster child.

All 4 year olds must reside within the entire TCISD attendance zone, including La Marque campuses.

Applications are not accepted on a first come first served basis, but rather prioritized based on need according to responses in the application.

Any application that is missing shot records, two proofs of residency, and/or two proofs of income for each parent living in the household or that has incomplete forms included, will not be processed.

Those parents will be notified that their application is incomplete and will need to resubmit document via the Registration & Enrollment Documentation Upload above.

 

Please be sure to respond to every question on every document and submit all required documentation to ensure that your child’s application is processed.

Letters will be sent in mid-July informing parents if their child has been accepted into the program for the 2021-2022 school year.
