Thank you to Valero for their unwavering support of Texas City ISD Foundation for the Future. Valero donated $14,500 in support for educational programs in Texas City ISD.

This money will cover the cost of three programs, two of them new. Helping Hands provides assistance to students who are economically disadvantaged and or do not have personal items to take care of their basic hygiene needs. Lunch and Learn is a new program that will teach prenatal care and child development to teen parents. Another new program is called Start Fresh at TCHS with Suds and Stuff. Economically disadvantaged students will have an area at school where they can wash their clothing. Students who don't come to school clean often become a target to be teased. These programs will eliminate that while boosting a child's self-esteem.
