Texas City ISD has earned the Certificate of Excellence in Financial Reporting from the Association of School Business Officials International for the fiscal year ended Aug. 31, 2025. This is the fifth time the district has achieved this honor.
The recognition reflects the district’s commitment to financial transparency, accountability and high-quality financial reporting.
The Certificate of Excellence program recognizes school districts that meet rigorous standards for financial reporting. As part of the process, Texas City ISD submitted its Annual Comprehensive Financial Report for review by a team of financial professionals. Reports are evaluated for their quality, transparency and adherence to the program’s requirements.
Participation in the program also provides districts with professional feedback designed to strengthen future financial reports and can support bond rating and continuing bond disclosure processes.
The recognition highlights the work of Assistant Superintendent for Business & Operations Margaret Lee and the TCISD Business Office, which is responsible for maintaining strong financial practices and providing clear, accurate information about the district’s finances.
Earning the Certificate of Excellence demonstrates Texas City ISD’s continued commitment to responsible stewardship of public funds and transparency with the students, families, employees and community it serves.
