Thirty-two students from Texas City High School and La Marque High School have earned one or more distinctions through the College Board National Recognition Program for their academic achievement.
Students earned the First-Generation Recognition Award, School Recognition Award or both based on their performance on the PSAT/NMSQT and other College Board academic requirements.
The First-Generation Recognition Award honors students who rank among the top 10% of eligible first-generation students in their state, while the School Recognition Award honors students who rank among the top 10% of eligible test takers at their high school.
Of the 32 students recognized, 10 earned both distinctions, 20 earned the School Recognition Award and two earned the First-Generation Recognition Award.

The College Board National Recognition Program gives high-achieving students an opportunity to distinguish themselves academically and helps colleges and scholarship programs identify students who have demonstrated strong academic performance.
The accomplishments of these 32 students highlight the academic talent found across both Texas City ISD high schools and represent the hard work students have invested in preparing for their futures.
