Heights Elementary has been named a 2026 Lone Star Ribbon School, making it one of only 25 schools across Texas to receive the prestigious statewide recognition.

The Lone Star Ribbon Schools program honors Texas public schools for outstanding academic performance and meaningful progress in closing achievement gaps. Schools are selected through a rigorous process that considers academic achievement, performance across student groups and sustained student success.

This recognition reflects the outstanding dedication of Heights Elementary’s educators, students, families and staff. Texas City ISD is proud to celebrate the entire Heights Elementary community on this remarkable achievement.
